What will I learn?

This workshop builds participants’ financial knowledge and confidence for today’s local government landscape. It covers local government finance, medium-term financial planning, budget monitoring and financial resilience. Participants learn how financial decisions happen, and the risks and responsibilities involved.

How will it be delivered?

Through practical discussion and an interactive budgeting exercise, participants explore the difference between revenue and capital funding. They examine how inflation and market conditions affect major projects. They also apply the principles of good financial governance.

What will I get out of it?

By the end of the session, participants can interpret financial information with confidence. They’ll also support sound decision-making and strengthen financial resilience within their own organisation.
