Welcome to the BRIDGE Project

14 August 2026

Welcome to the new digital home of the BRIDGE project. We are excited to launch this platform and introduce our ongoing efforts in Building Regional Capacity, Leadership & Collaboration Cross-Border.

What is the BRIDGE Project?

BRIDGE is a dedicated cross-border initiative designed to support local authority officials, elected representatives, and community stakeholders. The initiative operates across 12 border councils and 2 cross-border networks.

This project represents a powerful partnership between East Border Region Ltd and the Irish Central Border Area Network (ICBAN). Together, we are focused on strengthening governance and fostering connectivity. Our core purpose includes:

  • Erasing administrative silos
  • Building collective regional frameworks.
  • Delivering free, non-accredited training programmes on a needs basis.

Our Regional Impact

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. By working together, we can build a more resilient and connected region. We are incredibly proud of the scale of our current network:

  • 775 Active Participants Engaged.
  • 14 Regional Organisations Involved.
  • 12 Border Local Authority Councils.
  • 2 Core Cross-Border Networks.

Backed by PEACEPLUS
